Buying Magic
------------
The maximum price of an item that can be purchased will depend on where you purchase it. 
For example, Roccatorre will now have a cost item limit of 1500 gp 
whereas Ovesta being, bigger, more populous, more wealthy and more developed has a item cost maximum of 4000 gp. 
Fiume is about the same with a more aggressive black market. 
In Rutherford, the rumor is anything, for the right price, can be purchased. 
Kern City, the capital has a limit of around 10 000 gp with an intensive black market.

Secondly, because items may be available does not mean they are in stock. 
A percentage roll will determine this and the more expensive the item, 
the less chance that it will be on the shelf so to speak.

C = farmhouse - single story,  cellar empty

over a rise, very large tree in the centre, surrounded by shrubs and bushes 
- opening going down into the earth, faint purple light at bottom of shaft
- 60 ft down, goes another 200 ft, in the ceiling are transmutation purple crystals (magic/supernatural), 
  transmutated black moss and normal black moss on walls and ceiling, vines are natural coloured 
  thick lush grash on bottom 

- Rako died by shambling mound in a garden shed

- Kiitaren, deputy investigating 
- ran into Casher Startwist, a gnome, went with her to Redfork, but escaped from the Bugbears

garden #3 has 3 sections: herb, pine, cactus

walking towards garden following small feet tracks, near pine trees in garden, pollen requires fort saves or sleep

went herb section of garden, then cactus section, could see a strange growth in pine tree section
dead gnome inside growth

- small dagger, ivory handle 	= Gnome Stilleto +1 (gnome or exotic weapon) = 2,302 gp		Ellie carrying
				= The gnome stiletto ( small sized) tapers down to a needle sharp point. 
				  The edges are razor sharp but are wavey instead of straight.
				  The ivory handle has the symbol of Garl Glittergold on one side and the symbol of Baravar Cloakshadow on the other.


10 bugbears, no ring orders the others to move up and throw...an apple grenade? tracks came from due south

NOTE: knowledge religion, purple light is important colour to unholy trinity, seems to boost the bugbears

garden #2 bushes with diamond shaped leaves with black veins and orange berries
- not natural plants, have been mutated
- in centre, 4 shrieking mushrooms, 
- 6 purple striped plants with vines, 15 ft reach, vine slap + poison, mutated violet fungi
- no treasure


hay pile with a large crate wrapped in chains and locked
- bugbear and rat tracks
- no traps, cut chains, inside is a sick looking dryad, Elisa - her oak tree is being damaged
- Freed her from Blackmort, the treant that rules this place, who is also the "Gardner"
- Blackmort animated her tree and brought it underground

Fern
- nothing special

Grove
- full of tall trees with a 200 ft oak in the middle
- oak has a waxy sheen and is darkening, 2 men are hung by their necks from the tree with rope
- 3 or 4 broken trees, were once treants, but now dead with purple crystal embedded 
- air feels colder around this area
- plants are being mutated by the purple light, plants from the surface are being brought down
- dryad merges back into the tree, has an earth elemental, tree starts to look healthier
chest under the roots of the dryad oak tree
- potion of fly												Cherry
- 250 gp												loot
Cherry cracks the four purple crystals, they stop emitting the purple light

Garden #7
- pine tree area with glowing glow around pine cones
- giant squash
- yellow flowers, swaying area
- vine area, can hear water running, detect enchantment aura, coming from water area
	fountain with a statue of gorgonzola's diety, Obad-Hai,
    	has water flowing into a hole near the edge
	water is used to bless his followers, if drink it will give it for an hour
	- vial of bless = one use only, bless spell for 1 hour - 1 each					1 each
	vines attack, and casts entangle spell
	- mutated assassin vine

- bugbeaqr tribe is behind the door near the haystack
- Blackmoor is in his lab or underground, lab is to the south
- white powder could be in garden 5 and 6
- asking them to get those pn thier side out, note not to harm females or cubs - 11 females, 13 younglings
- will leave 15 bugbears, a giant and something else dangerous put by blackmoor, have not seen it

Bugbair Lair
- open corridor to T-section, door to left
- open door - guard room, 5 bugbears - halberds and apple grenades
- hill giant with purple stripes strides up behind Dash, tried to color spray, but resisted, then ran, but had to wing it
- 5 halberds 	= 10 gp x5 = 50 gp						- gave back to bugbears
- leather 	= 10 gp x5 = 50 gp						- gave back to bugbears

- cloak room - dead bugbear - stabbed to death - ring with a key (to prisoner door in the garden)

T-section to west, door

Large room through secret door,
- large statue of a horse, lots of barrels, T-Rex Skeleton, 
- full plate armor (historical) - not magical - replica of the armor used by hero - sell for 2,500 gp (Cherry carry 50 lbs)
- 6 barrel of whisky, 18 barrels of excellent wine - banned in the kingdom since was smuggled,
- horse replica of the one ridden by the hero of the last battle of the empire, silver mane and tail
- 

hallway 3 doors
- first door - sounds like a kitchen, disable door to trap females and cubs inside
- second door - long hallway turns
- third door - large room with 6 bugbears
	- tables and chairs, and bunk beds
	- bugbear opens a secret door, a mummy comes out of a secret door to attack
	- mummy falls, turns to dust, something in its 
		- 2 gold earings with amythest gems (100 gp)				- loot
		- design looks like old empire stuff
	- nothing in the mummy room

second door - top of the stairs , entire wall has a magic mirror, one of a pair, 
		- can see what the other sees

new door at top of stairs - leads to a big bedroom, used by chief, has the other magic mirror on the wall to see hall
	chief + 8 bugbears
	- chief seems to want to attack fey creatures
	- killed chief, tell the others to surrender and join their companions to leave Blackmoor service
		- morningstar +2 = 8,308 gp						- Dash
		- studded leather +1 = 1,175 gp						- sell

Chapter 13

So just in case you are all in favour of playing Kern and  a TPK ( don't let this change your mind)
- Last sessions- what you have learned and done  so far- 
1) there is a white dust/dirt that will negate the effects of the black moss
2) freeing the dryad has made the center tree area a safe(r)  area for you
3) you used the schism amongst the bugbears to eliminate those loyal to the treant Blackmort from those discontented with being 'slaves' who wanted freedom. By doing so you saved the females and the youngsters. The survivors plan to move out.
4) You learned that the leader of the rebels, Mork, is in the bugbear prison. Location yet to be found.
5) You learned that Blackmort has a laboratory somewhere in the garden. location yet to be found.
6) you destroyed the purple crystals stuck in the middle of the  three dead treants ( good thing) 
7) You have yet to investigate the middle east garden. the two south gardens and the large pit in the south east.

To save game time during and after   yakking and eating before game starts here are a few things about what is going on in no particular order{

Sent to Red Fork to find out WTF was going on there\
Found black moss derivative turned people into trees
Wherever black moss grew around it could be found white powder soil which acted as antidote
Source of all this badness was Blackmort corrupted treant sent by mad archdruid of Wyld Wood
Found really weird huge  garden area below ground full of corrupted mutated plants and animals
- ceiling full of blue light emitting crystals and several large different garden areas carefully tended
Saved a dryad and her tree whose area could now be a safe area for you- notice the word 'could' 
Freed some Red Fork garden slave  wretches and they sent off to get help
Discovered 3 dead treants hanging out in dryad tree area with blue crystals embedded in them= destroyed the crystals - good thing
Found out that 5 treants fooled by Blackmort agreed to accompany him= 3 dead ones now accounted for
Found out that the bugbears working for Blackmort were doing so under threat of black moss 
but a rebel group was not happy about that but some others including the tribal chief were happy with the power
- team removed the loyalists. bugbears taking family, females and children out of Garden, back to the surface
- where will they go? mountains to find refuge while thousands of orcs now roaming around there? 
the two species are not fond of each other
- beg mercy from the Kings Guard- become foot soldiers? who will vouch for them?
From rebel bugbears found out that leader of opposition is now being  kept in prison along with other prisoners
Found out that Blackmort has a laboratory somewhere in the Garden

But what I need to know is, as I do not have my notes on that,   what weapons yo6r group found in the Garden and who has them now.
