(trinket, common, 100 gp)
Last Updated: December 7, 2025
Campaign: Bunch of Random Dudes
At first glance, this appears to be nothing more than a lump of coal.
Once per day, Rollo's Moonrock provides advantage on an insight check.
History:
Lord No once noted in his book series "Small Folk - Children of the Green, Volume 1" that halfling children
born under a supermoon, are tested to see if they are worthy of becoming one with the green.
For Rollo Moonrock, his test was to show he had enough insight to see something's true nature.
He was told to find the most precious gem amongst the variety of rocks displayed before him.
Without hesitation, Rollo selected his "Moonrock", a lump of coal to everyone else,
but to him he could see the diamond hidden inside. The elder druid nodded in agreement.
Since becoming one with the green, Rollo's Moonrock has reminded him
to use his insight to seek the true nature of everything around him.
Design Notes:
- PHB trinket list #40 "A gemstone that looks like a lump of coal when examined by anyone but you."
