Rutherford, lying on the shore of Great Kern Lake just west of where the Big Middle River begins, is the largest city in the realm. Due to its location, it is the economic and commercial center of the nation. It is a large walled center of urbanization surrounded by rurality. Almost all the noble families have a residence. The Royal Family keeps a guarded community here. The city is divided into 4 quarters: noble, guild, residential and poor. There is a strange growth of kudzu vines whose growth is kept under control except in the poor district.
The richest and most influential noble is Lord Marcus Laitee, the majority owner of the merchant house, Urbandale and Sons, of the logging and lumber trade.
The Kingsman is Captain Harold Trinson who leads a large contingent of the King's Guard in the city.
