The Mad Druid of the Wyld Wood
The Grand Druid of Kern has not been heard of in a while.
The mad druid supposedly lives in the Wyld Wood.
The mad druid had been hunting and slaughtering fey for some nefarious purpose.
The mad druid had been corrupted to insanity by some other power and was performing all types of vile experiments.
Oscar the Rat, an "awakened" rat wizard, awakened by a "cookoo" druid in the wildwood,
kept as prisoner and experimented upon for a year before he escaped to the Hamlet of Roccatore.
While in the bowels of the Grey Citidel, Gorgonzola received a vision from a servant of Obed-Hai.
Gorgonzola is told he must rectify the tarnishing of the Green in Kern.
Independent of each other, two major druids are responsible.
One has turned to anti-life, the other has gone insane.
Both must be stopped.
The Wanderers of the Wyld rescued, Krax, a Goblin Warlock, who had been captured by the orcs in the Grey Citidel.
Krax had previously been captured by the renegade goblins and gnolls working for the Mad Druid.
Krax was able to escape by pretending to be dead when his cell was emptied of all the other fey corpses.
Krax had overheard during his captivity that the Mad Druid had recently sent a corrupted treant west,
towards Ovesta, a place called Red Fork, to test out a new black moss.
As yet unexplained is the thick growth of kudzu along the southwest edge of the Wyld Wood.
The vine growth extends a quarter mile into the woods where they come to an abrupt halt.
Stranger yet, this the same kind of growth that plagues Rutherford.
There is a strange growth of kudzu vines in the town of Rutherford, whose growth is kept under control
except in the poor district.
