Ogre Cave

The Wanderers of the Wyld were promised a 100 gp reward to rid the Hamlet of Roccatorre of its Ogre problem.

  • The Green Ogre - dead
  • The main cave was damp and slick. There was a blocked off section of the wall to the left.
  • Cherry could hear and understand the Ogre behind the rock wall repeating "the cold, the dark, the gate, its my soul, don't take my soul". This was the same thing being said by Joe, the only survivor of a previous foray against the feral kobolds plagueing the hamlet and nearby farms.
  • The ogre burst out of the walled off section saying "the cold, the dark, the gate, its my soul, don't take my soul".
  • The ogre was all green, starting to turn black, and starting to get red splotches. He wore tattered large leather armor and weilded a large great club.
  • Twitch proved himself very capable and helpful against the ogre and the other denizens of the ogre cave complex.
  • The Wanderers of the Wyld found a large-sized wooden Tower Shield +1 covered with rugs and furs and being used by the ogre as a bed, along with 200 gp scattered amongst the bedding.

    The next cave in the network was filled with stirges, only these were different. Their probiscus was sharper and they were skinnier with big and black eyes. When a stirge died, they exploded into a puff of acid that ate away at anyone nearby.

    The final cave in the network had a wooden chest in the back of the cave.

  • As the Wanderers of the Wyld moved toward it, they were attacked by a dark mantle.
  • Cherry has learned to be more flexible in combat, noting that there is a time for offense and time for defense. She also learned to be more patient and cautious (maybe), as she grew frustrated with Rako, her kobold companion, taking so long to disarm the trap on the treasure chest they had just found, so she pushed him aside, and said "it can't be that bad, let's just trigger it to get at the good stuff" as she flung open the lid, only to be attacked by four slim "Barbie Doll" constructs that launched themselves at her...
  • The chest contained 500 gp, 6 gems (100 gp each), and 3 arcane scrolls (Shield, Knock, Spectral Hand) along with 50' rope x2, and grappling hooks x2
