Sirni, the red battle axe, hanging up on the wall in the Trip Away Inn, offers to tell them one more tail.
Weaver and Drakara announce they are tired, and head up the stairs to their rooms. Weaver complains of a bad back as he climbs into bed.
Flip, gives the original the rest, including himself and the two bouncers, that special cake, that Sirni suggested, and the world goes blurry...
Our heroes awaken on the "Distracted Albatross", an airship, swirling in the sky above.
A door opens to the room they are in and in steps Mr Green. He is a large human, tossing a metal cube in his hand. Next to him, is a giant war eagle he calls Bagle.
Mr Green tells them he has gotten them out of prison and offers them redemption. He has brought them together for a chance to make good and help save the world.
Mr Green tells them that there is trouble in the Mourn Lands. The Lord of Blades has discovered a secret weapon and has captured Professor Drumwit to build it for him. They need to rescue Professor Drumwit so he can tell them how to stop this new weapon. We need him alive...
Not to worry, you won't be going in alone, I'll be there to guide you. Plus, we have a secret weapon of our own. Mr Green tosses the metal cube onto the floor, and a filthy hulking male human barbarian appears out of the cube "Our Barbarian in a Box, we call him Bob"
Amber and Bob start to chant the barbarian war cry together, "kill kill hate hate murder murder mutilate". At least until Mr Green says the command that puts Bob back in the box.
The Grimm wonders what his Uncle Gregor Bongwomble, a druid, would think of all this. Hard to say, Uncle Gregor had an interest in all things wvern and studied the beasts closely, at least until his friend, a paladin, was devoured by a wyvern.
"Now, before we can proceed, I need to clear up certain details about what's in your files" says Mr Green as he shuffles through some parchments.
Mr. Green asks Rollo about the incident at the blind mole inn involving a halibut, a chest of cheese and drunk giants.
Rollo replies "Well ..."
Mr. Green asks Yotte about the incident at the Wild Bill Casino and Orphanage involving a Wand of Wonder, a flea ridden cat, and a beholder.
Yotte replies "Well ..."
Mr. Green asks Taiyo about the incident at the farmer's market involving a bag of gold, a furious ox and dead rats.
Taiyo replies "Well ..."
Mr. Green asks the Grimm about the incident at the first gnome savings and loan involving a halibut, a flea ridden cat and live rats.
The Grimm replies "Well ..."
Mr. Green asks Amber about the incident at the blind mole inn involving a bag of gold, chest of cheese, and drunk giants.
Amber replies "Well, I had just gained possession of this chest from a dungeon of darkness, but when I opened it up, was there gold in it, no just a whole bunch of moldy fermented cheese. Now, I saw a bunch of hill giants wonder into the blind mole inn, an establishment for species of all sizes one of whom was jingling a bag of coins, figured I could liberate them coins by making a wager with them. See who could eat the most cheese without passing out. How was I to know the hill giants stomachs were as weak as an elven waif? The cheese had no effect on my dwarven constitution but the giants got drunk and trashed the place, after some halfling and a halibut stirred them up. I won that wager fair and square and that bag of gold was rightfully mine but no - the bartender called the city guard - and claimed the bag as his for recompense for damages"
Mr. Green tells Gimble and Himo that everything in their files is in order. No other information is needed.
Mr Green nods in appreciation of their explanations.
"In addition, you will each be paid the equivalent rate of 3,000 gp per week and your freedom. This mission should only take one hour to complete."
Amber starts doing the math in her head... 3000 gp... divided by 7 days... divided by 24 hours... for one hour of work should give them each 17 gp... give or take...
"Is everyone on board?" Mr Green asks. They all nod. "Good, we can go through the plan. Professor Drumwit is now trapped on the lightning train "Bemused Armadillo". It's a fast moving target over jagged mountain peaks in wyvern country. But don't worry, we have the location, and are flying above it now. You will use these seven feather tokens to leave the "Distracted Albatross" and land safely on the "Bemused Armadillo". I will ride down on Bagle the war eagle. Now, this scroll has the details of the plan. Let's go through it."
PLANS FOR RESCUING PROFESSOR DRUMWIT IN A DARING (AND LIKELY DANGEROUS MANNER).
Leader: Provender Pluck, A.K.A.: Mr. Green
Step 1: Say the magic phrase, "Turtle, Turtle, Turtle," ... The floor of the airship suddenly opens beneath them and everyone is falling, as is Mr Green, the feather tokens he was holding, the scroll, and the Barbarian in the Box ...
As they fall, a wyvern emerges from the clouds and chomps into Mr Green, and kills him, munching on Mr Greens corpse as he flies by.
Himo attempts to grab the scroll flapping in the wind, but misses it.
Gimble misses a feather token that fell past him.
Taiyo grabs onto a feather token.
The Grimm grabs a feather token.
Rollo gets a feather token.
Amber gets a feather token.
Yotte misses a nearby feather token.
As they keep falling, the wyvern does a slow lazy turn back towards them as it continues to eat Mr Green.
Himo grabs his own feather token
Gimble misses his feather token again.
Taiyo goes for the scroll and grabs it in his clawed hand.
The Grimm goes for the Barbarian in the Box, but misses it.
Rollo gets the Barbarian in the Box, and sticks his tongue out at the Grimm.
Amber grabs Gimbles feather token.
Yotte gets a feather token of his own.
The wyvern finishes eating Mr Green, as it is almost upon them, spitting distance really.
Himo attempts to talk to the wyvern "Nice wyvern, please don't eat us."
The wyvern introduces himself as Theodore Trout.
Gimble grabs onto Amber.
Taiyo stores the scroll in his belt pouch, then talks to the wyvern too, but in draconic, being a dragonborn and all.
He asks how how a wyvern can talk?
"well frankly" says the wyvern, "After he ate that paladin, he somehow gained more intelligence."
The Grimm also speaks to the wyvern. He asks if he knows his Uncle Gregor Bongwomble the Druid.
"I thought your scent smelled familiar, thought you might know him too" said Theodore.
Rollo tells the wyvern "Hey, I'm a druid too".
Amber gives her second feather token to Gimble.
Yotte grabs onto Amber and Gimble.
The Grimm asks Theodore if he could daisy chain he and his friends over to the lighting train before they fall and go splat on the ground. Theodore and the Grimm do a pinky swear and our heroes are pulled to their target and land safely on the engine of the lightning train.
The train is pulling four passenger cars, each is 15 ft wide, 10 feet tall, 90 feet long, with a hatch on the roof. The engine car itself is sealed with no way to enter it. Bagle the war eagle lands on the train beside them, after Theodore Trout, the Wyvern has left.
Protected from the wind by Bagle the war eagles outspread wings, our heroes huddle around Taiyo, as the scroll is unfurled, allowing them to read the rest of the rescue plan ...

Step 1: Say the magic phrase, "Turtle, Turtle, Turtle," which will open the floor and start your free-fall to the train below. Tap your tokens just before landing to make sure you don't miss the train.
Important: Hand out Feather Tokens before saying magic word!
Step 2: Locate Prison Car.
Important: There are three decoy cars and one real one. On the top of each car, by the access hatch, there's a coded word that identifies the car as either a decoy or the real car.
Important: The decoy cars are certainly trapped, so don't open them!
Step 3: Throw the Barbarian in a Box™ into the open hatch of the real prison car. Wait until he takes out the guards.
Important: Activate the Barbarian in a Box™ just before throwing it in. There is a three second delay after you click the button.
Step 4: Enter the prison car and make sure the guards are incapacitated.
Step 5: Open the door to the cell. The lock is an intelligent clockwork automaton named Ogred.
It will open the lock with the passphrase, "Susie works in a shoeshine shop. Where she shines she sits, and where she sits she shines.”
Step 6: Free Professor Drumwit
Step 7: Escape (see page 2)
